We've received a lot of feedback from our members about wanting more performance opportunities for students. In response, we're going to offer monthly Virtual Youtube Recitals through LAMTA. Virtual recitals will never be able to replace the fun and excitement of a live performance, but this is a way to give students an opportunity to perform, something to look forward to and a way that we can give back to our community through music.
Directions: Every student should submitting a video recording of their performance. Students may simply use their phones to record but feel free to use cameras or any other devices that work best for you.
Memorization is recommended but not required. Please have students bow to the camera after their performance just like our normal LAMTA recitals.
After your student has a good recording of themselves performing, you can upload directly to this Google Drive folder “LAMTA Recital Folder” found in your latest email newsletter.
Please have students or parents change/edit the file name to the format below: Studentname:1stpiece,2ndpiece
For example: BrockChart: Mozart 545, Summertime Gershwin
Deadline: To allow time for editing, please submit student videos no later than Thursday, February 18th. The recital fee is $3 per student.
Recital: After editing everything together, the full recital video will be uploaded on Youtube for everyone to watch and enjoy on Monday, February 22nd. Members will be emailed a sharable link where everyone can watch it. Feel free to share it on your social media, friends, family, and parents!
